Write in the Present Tense. 

Your reader wants their information fast and well curated. But, more importantly, they also want it to be engaging. 

Present tense writing will engage your reader and make them feel like they’re there with you. You’re infusing an urgency into your writing and your reader will appreciate it. By speaking actively you are making your reader feel connected more to you and your content. 

Conversely, writing from past tense (detached) point of view will bore your readers

This rule isn’t cut and dry, as it can be wise to strategically pepper past-tense in your writing. But you must use it strategically.

Write Edutainment.

With just one mouse click your reader has left your article in search of an one that is better (or perhaps just better written). 

You Have to Keep. Your. Reader. Engaged. The best way to do this? Make them feel that they’re both learning something important and being entertained in the process.
